Outsourced Support centres.

Outsourced Support centres.

Postby vanity » Sun Mar 08, 2009 10:41 am

So I had a bit of a rant to eecan today and I thought maybe it was worthwhile posting.
Enjoy.
nathan: says (9:26 PM):
fucking smart ass support
i really do not like companies that outsource to india
it's not that I dont like indians
nathan: says (9:27 PM):
it is the fact that, as a strong generalisation, all indians seem to inherently love to adhere to rules and show no ability to think on their own
basically my phone number is someones old number
i couldnt provide the correct name and secret question yadi yada because they havent deleted the old record
so
nathan: says (9:28 PM):
i ask her "okay, well can I provide you my contract number, my SIM number or anything like that so you can check that my contract has even been entered into the system?"
and she says "No sir, I am sorry, your details did not match, I can not tell you anything"
i was so tempted to just swear at her
I think they just like pissing off westerners
nathan: says (9:29 PM):
If I ever run a large enterprise
I will pay the extra cost to not outsource
I don't care, I want support that actually fucking works
I want people who are have a mind and try and satisfy the customers
I wasn't even asking for details
god damnit
its like bigpond (Australian ISP renown for bad support)
dad wanted to add my name as an account holder
nathan: says (9:30 PM):
but i had to be 18
it was the 17th of january
my birthday was on the 27th of january
she wouldn't let me be added
it was 10 days! I wasn't likely going to ever call in the next 10 days
for gods sake
I ended up calling again, speaking to someone else and pretending my birthday was on the 17th
bitch
nathan: says (9:31 PM):
seriously, people who do that should just shoot themselves
power hungry half wits
clinging on to and abusing any power they can get their fingers on

This is a side of me many of you probably haven't seen, but I do occasionally get pretty pissed off and say some things I really shouldn't. This being one of them, but there are elements of truth in there.
What do you guys think and what have been your most aggravating experience with companies such as these?

Lol... the tech support for my phone company/isp is like that. I have problems wiht my phonelines but the stupid fucks at tech support keep making me fuck around with my router and internet settings. All this despite the fact that there is annoying static in my phonelines. The dumb fucks give me step by step instructions without telling me what I'm actually doing. It must have taken them 20 minutes to tell me how to reset my router. I dont understand how tech support works when the one helping you knows less about what to do then you do.

Really useful post...

Ontopic:

People like that piss me off. Although its funny when you actually prove them wrong on the phone.

Or even better when you walk into a computer store, have a 30 year old salesmen try to rip your parents off with a computer, then go into a rant at the salesman about how fucking wrong he is and how retarded he was

Needless to say, I got a very good discount later on, and a job offer... >.<

Lol... A few years ago the car dealership tried to rip my mom off on repairs so I brought my freind down there. It was funny seeing the dealership mechanics get owned by a 17 year old kid.

yeah, we used to have some pretty bad issues with telemarketers contacting us, although it has stopped now thanks to that law passed last year.

I never got as creative as this guy, but I did try and have stupid conversations with them for a while, or I would just give them bogus details.
