I would really like to go but I've committed too much money for other things already. Paying off my student loan and committing to CPA just took up a sizable amount from my bank account. Also have to pay off the car soon so really don't have much money to spare right now.
Maybe next year once things settle down a bit.

Re: Japan Trip
Even if not next year, I really recommend playing around with a mock schedule etc. It's actually fun and it will open your eyes up to the real costs, time, etc etc
You'll likely find stuff and places you didn't know existed or wanted to see.
And if a mistake fare comes up you will have an itinerary you can work with.
We've actually seen errors as cheap as a few hundred dollars. My sister's friends flew to Australia and back twice over a weekend... just because lol.

Re: Japan Trip
I'm actually spending a few minutes each day looking at fares.
Also thinking about looking up and bookmarking places to visit for the future.
Only problem is that things change very fast there and things like the Giant Gundam gets moved or taken down.
Still, it's good to have an idea of what's available. Better than starting from zero when the times comes.

Re: Japan Trip
Did some simple searches and I've found Toronto/Vancouver flights to be a little over $500 while at the same time flights to places like the Philippines and China on sale at about $500.
So keep your eyes peeled and options open. I've seen the UK as low as $400.

Re: Japan Trip
I saw a nice fare to JP earlier today and was almost tempted. I just spent a week in Hawaii and got addicted to their Poke bowls. Maybe my taste has matured enough so that I can actually enjoy proper JP cuisine now which has always been a slight concern...

There are so many types of dishes that you won't have trouble with food. You can always default to fast food but even those are good quality.
